Rev. David Radzik
Rector
The Rev. David Radzik serves as Rector of Saint Luke’s Church, bringing to his ministry a deeply sacramental, classically rooted, and explicitly Anglo-Catholic vision of the Christian faith shaped by Scripture, the liturgy, and the living tradition of the Church. Prior to his call to Saint Luke’s, he served for seven years at St. Thomas Episcopal
Church in Berea, Ohio, and earlier as a pediatric hospital chaplain, accompanying children and families through illness, suffering, and hope.
A graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2015), Fr. Radzik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before ordained ministry, he taught English as a Second Language in South Korea, China, and the United States, an experience that continues to inform his global awareness, pastoral
imagination, and attentiveness to cultural and spiritual dislocation.
Fr. Radzik’s preaching is marked by a consistent focus on the core mysteries of the Christian faith: the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ as decisive acts of redemption; the Eucharist as the real and living presence of Christ and the center of Christian life; and the call to perceive God’s grace in both the liturgy and the ordinary circumstances of life. His sermons often weave together Scripture, theological reflection, and narrative illustration to invite hearers into a sacramental vision of reality, in which Christ is encountered in Word, Sacrament, and daily life. He is particularly attentive to the disorientation of modern life, proclaiming Christ as the true “way, truth, and life” who leads the Church through confusion into communion with God. His ministry is shaped by the Church Fathers and the Anglican and Catholic spiritual
tradition, especially Augustine, Aquinas, Newman, and the English mystics. He is devoted to the renewal of reverent, beautiful worship shaped by the Book of Common Prayer and to forming communities rooted in prayer, sacrament, and the life of the Church.
Fr. Radzik is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, as well as the Society of Mary and the Guild of All Souls, reflecting his commitment to the devotional and sacramental life of the Anglo-Catholic tradition.
He is married to Lorrin, an ordained United Methodist clergywoman, and together they are raising three young children. A native New Englander, Fr. Radzik enjoys swimming, hiking, and time on the water. He is a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, and has begun to warm to the Philadelphia Phillies as he settles into life in Pennsylvania. He is an avid reader of theology, poetry, and literature, and most of all values life with his family and the shared rhythms of parish ministry.
